Meal planning when members of your household have multiple food sensitivities is challenging enough, plus the kids change their minds about what they like every other day, your partner is tired of your weird Pinterest fails and making 3 separate meals every night is exhausting and you are just OVER IT. Sound familiar? That was me too. My name is Sabrina– I’m a mom of 3 little boys and a husband who all have a lot of opinions about dinner. My youngest and I also have 22 different food sensitivities between us. I have been there (sometimes I still am) making everyone a separate meal and wanting to pull my hair out. Along the way I’ve figured out some nourishing meals that most of us like (or are easy to customize without spending hours in the kitchen). As a Registered Dietitian it’s important to me that my family is also getting as much whole food nutrition as possible, knowing that in the real world there will also be a fair amount of treats and less healthy choices available every where they go. As my youngest gets older and is navigating a food focused world I am continuously seeking alternatives to some of the fun treats his brothers are getting that won’t make him sick.
